"Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got to go deeper.”

ABOUT

My name is Alexander Wilstrup, and i am a Copenhagen based visual designer studying Visual Design & Interaction at the Royal Danish Academy (KADK).

I focus on visual identity and interactive experiences, combining the physical and digital to create storytelling that invites curiosity and exploration.

Inspired by a lifelong passion for nature, my work often draws on organic forms and aesthetics, aiming for simplicity and engagement.

CV.

I have worked across both digital and analog disciplines from an early age, and my work centers on combining the physical and digital to create storytelling experiences. I especially enjoy branding and identity design, developing visual identities that bring concepts to life, as well as visual installations and interactive experiences that draws people in to explore and engage.

I strive for aesthetic simplicity and compelling storytelling that sparks curiosity. Each project begins with research and experimentation, aiming to guide audiences intuitively while leaving room for imagination, making them active participants in the experience.

A recurring essence in my work is my great interest for nature. Although I grew up in the city, I spent much of my childhood at a remote ødegård in Sweden without electricity or Wi-Fi. Those summers bloomed my fascination with nature and taught me how stories can emerge from very little, an approach that continues to shape my creative process today.
